PA/NJ/DE State Day 2000
Over 35 Sisters from two collegiate chapters (Drexel and Bucknell Universities) and five alumnae chapters (Philadelphia-Suburban, Southern New Jersey, Lehigh Valley, Greater Summit & Wilmington), gathered on Saturday, April 8, to celebrate our bond with workshops, a keynote address, a lovely luncheon and new and renewed acquaintances with Phi Mu Sisters. After a welcome by our President Laura M., our VP Kelly F. led the goup in an ice-breaker activity that led to each of us introducing another sister whom we had just met. Workshops on Sisterhood Connections and Helping Hands were capably led by Mary Beth S., with a fun sesion of Foundation and Phi Mu Facts Bingo...everyone was a winner!! After the Reunion Luncheon, which allowed sisters to sit with women from the chapter of initiation, Molly S. presented the keynote address "Phi Mu: OUR Link to the Future".

These are the essential links to our link as Phi Mus. Collegiate chapters are our link to the past, alumnae chapters are our link to the future. The importance of connection and lifelong commitment was stressed. As we physically made a chain of paper links, Molly reminded us that each of us is a link in the chain of Phi Mu and urged us to "keep our link strong". The collegiate chapter from Drexel University entertained us with songs and chants. The afternoon closed with awards and drawings for doorprizes. The Carnation collection was also available for purchasing Phi Mu items.
